Could the Green Children of Woolpit Have Been Fairies?
Current fairy ichonography depicts them as tiny creatures that have wings, like the cottingley fairies we discussed back in episode one o nine. Often, fairies were held to be physically indistinguishable from regular humans. They might be more attractive or dress differently, but they could pass for human beings. And often interacted with them, such as by stealing human children and leaving fairy child known as changelings, in their place. So you could propose that the green children of woolpit were effectively changelings. But i don't think we need to go to the fairy hypothesis unless it turns out there isn't another better explanation. It's hypothetically possible they could have walked
