i don't know if you're familiar with james joyce's finegan's wake, but it's this really cryptic novel thata all these in references to all sorts of things. And so scholars spend careers trying to unpack it and i find your particular gloss on dogan very powerful. It's not just a, it's not just paraphrasing or being cued, or using contemporary language. It's also providing a context in which to understand where this piece was ing from.
