We make the error of believing that we can prophesy what advances in knowledge and or innovation will have occurred. So i train myself, over a long period of time, to simply realize that i know nothing in the scope of universal time. Error gives you the ability to discard things you're wrong about. But the tional anchoring of beliefs precludes a lot of that. And so when you're willing to say, i'm probably wrong and i don't know, that changes your entire world view,. because mistakes become opportunities to learn.
