The Current State of AI in the US and China
The vast majority of innovation in AI over the past 10 years has occurred inside the United States. The most prominent example in China is facial detection for Uighurs, and there's a whole industry of Chinese tech companies with very, very strong machine learning teams. "We have to build AI with democratic values," he says.
