How to Get Your Instrument Rating in an Airplane and a Helicopter

Get your first instrument rating in an airplane and your second one in the helicopter. If possible, use a flight training device or an a t d for the first ten or 20 hours of your aeroplane instrument rating. The simulator is a much better learning environment than either an aerplane or a helicopter. When we're in the airplane, you can tell clients are spending about half their brain cycles just trying to keep the wings level and stay alive.
