The Importance of Stakes

Stakes are not a concern of mine anymore because lots of important terrible stuff is going to happen and I can build lots of stakes into that very simply but this initial opening scene is fairly stickless. The other thing that I haven't revealed to you yet is the surprises of the story now I identified them right away but I sort of wanted to hold them back from you so that I could surprise you with them as I was going through this process.
