The Importance of Empathy in Prisons

I think hopefully the lockdown made people more empathetic because suddenly everything changed for people. Even if you think you don't care about what happens in prisons or the prison population a large percent of that population will need to come back to society so it will affect you anyway in the long run. This is my biggest hope from the series that it humanizes this this part of the population gives an insight to a world that you think you know about but you don't and helps people sort of create a little bit more empathy and understanding about it. I hate the word choice because a lot of those women never had any choices and they were born into things and left a very little um chance and sort
