The Supply Side of the Housing Market

We are not building enough housing units per year on average. This is why builders are scrambling all over the country to build as fast as they can. The resale market, up until recently, was actually less than one month's worth of supply. Things have softened a little bit here over the last month or two because of rising mortgage rates.
