YouTube and the Viacom Lawsuit
Viacom lawsuit had a lasting impact on shaping the way that YouTube approached content moderation. Susan Wojcie wrote this op-ed in the Wall Street Journal about why YouTube was willing to do certain amount of content moderation around COVID misinformation. But she really wanted to draw the line is that we're facing increasing threats from governments for takedowns. And so I think that just speaks volumes about the gap that there is and like understanding what's actually happening on the platform.
