Should the Prosecution of an Ex-President or Potential Presidential Candidate Have to Meet a Higher Bar So That It Doesn't Become an Easy Political Weapon?

I'm puzzled and really, I think it's not healthy for democracy to have this case proceed on such a langerous path. It's not good for us to be thinking about the next court hearing right as we are getting ready for the Iowa caucuses. We do not prosecute or really even indict presidents while they are in office. So there's a kind of a pent up demand when he finally leaves office of okay, now is the potential point to hold him to account. And so you face this tension that's really irreconcilable. You want a case that you would have brought against someone else in similar circumstances.
