I got a text from a girlfriend that had me instantly drop everything, change my plans, and drive to LA. I’m so grateful to call Jamie Kern Lima a friend! She sends the sweetest texts out of the blue, and this time she invited me to a small viewing of Ellen DeGeneres doing stand-up comedy for some material she’s working on right now. I learned so much getting to witness Ellen’s raw talent, how she’s made comebacks multiple times in her career, and the power of making the “small” daily things - the BIG things when it comes to storytelling, marketing and connection.
