The Importance of Psychoanalysis

I think he believes it's all literally true, and that these things sort of like our dream, like these things arise in our subconscious in our dreams. And that when we wake up, I mean, I think this is the claim of psychoanalysis, isn't it? We're being influenced by these subconscious forces without our realizing it. They can get the better of us and they can prevent us from maturing and achieving our destiny or living authentic lives. The question I always have with that is, and I'm still asking and trying to get to the bottom of, trying to map these hyper agencies.
