The Cuban Revolution
The Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961 will be remembered as an embarrassment for the United States and their young president. The plan was to train a group of Cuban exiles hostile to Castro's regime and ready them for an assault on power in Havana. 1,200 members of Brigade 2506 are forced to surrender; America has been forced to retreat. Fidel Castro will hold them to ransom, using some particular commodities that Cuba needs.
