Introduction

John Mayer's new album, Sobrock, is a very specific aesthetic right from the way that the album sounds all the way through to the album cover. The first time I got a chance to speak with him we barely spoke about music. Everything else was sort of like a game of table tennis and I don't really like playing table tennis with musicians because they have a huge amount of time on their hands during recording sessions.
