Some men don't feel like their treating physician would really be open to the conversation. I have had patients who tell me that they brought it up just to get a prescription of one of the available FDA approved oral medications and they're told we don't talk about that go find your urologist. That kind of unfortunately, the dismissive attitude is also not very helpful for patients who aren't charged to gink care. Some of us may also be very uncomfortable talking about these subject matters.
