How Important Is the Time Value of Options?

Kirk Bar: Options are not indefinite. They havent end date. You have to be right on two fronts in order to make money on an options trade, which is your assumptions as well as the time period. If i think it's going to happen in a year, but it takes five years, that's going to be a lot more expensive to protect against than if i'm just doing it for one year. This is what makes a market. There are two sides to every trade. There are buyers and there are sellers. So whatever you're doing, there's somebody on the other side taking the other side of your trade, which probably has a thesis that's opposite of yours
