The Uluru Statement From the Heart
In 2015, there was the Curagulistatement and it was when 39 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders called for a meeting with the Prime Minister and opposition leader in a crisis. They ran 12 regional dialogues covering the entire continent and adjacent islands that elected delegates to come together at Uluru. We made the Uluru statement from the heart and the form of recognition that we seek is substantive. That will give us great offence and that's a voice.
