Is There a Balance of High Versus Low-Skill Immigration?
I'm confused about why we have this national security establishment that's obsessed with maintaining US hegemony. Why haven't they been pushing for, if not pro-natalist policies, then you know, more immigration for the sake of our hegemony? I do think that skilled immigrants are more quote-unquote useful in that sense,. If you had to like only have, if you hold the number of visas fixed, right? Then switching the composition to emphasize skills more would be good for America, probably bad for the world.
