The Upper Lip Bites Test
The malampady score is the most widely cited exam for difficult intubation. It's a scoring system that evaluates the ability to look at the different structures within the oral cavity. Grades three and four are sort of considered that they're going to be difficult intubated. The upper lip bite test, so it's really an estimate of how well the patient can bite their upper lip with their lower teeth.
