The Importance of Common Knowledge in Numeracy

In numeracy in the case of understanding a normal distribution or hypothesis testing using statistics those things are not easy to learn. I would guess no more than five ten fifteen percent of the population even if they worked very hard would have any kind of facility with that statistical hypothesis testing. Even in the best educational environment it's still a very small fraction of the overall population that can become good at it comfortable with it and certainly the population of word cells is not able to do it because they've almost all had decent educations.
