I Don't Love the Null Object Pattern

I just, i don't love the null object pattern, because a lot of times you end up doing things like checking to see if it's the noll object. The problem what that is, remember, they're trying to enforce logic flow here,. So your empty, your empty thing would come back give you a zero dollar amount. But you don't really want that, because you want the per dium if and so on. And then saying 'i couldn't do the empty meal thing' whenyoureally need to fill in the nou kno receipt or whatever attached to it. This shows up in u i somewhere, or in a data base report as zero.
