My Favorite Love Songs in 2021
There's a song that came out I think in April of 2020 by one of my favorite artists Nikhakeem called Kadir. He wrote it about childhood best friend who had died a couple of years previously and at a tender age of 25 was named Kadir. It's just really achingly beautiful and it's I think a really fitting treat to a friend. Love is always a topic of songs but I feel like love between friends is like less common. They also makes me think of another Shire song called Maureen which is about a childhood friend of hers who died really young.
