i'm optimistic about the kids when it comes to education in general. Every university, every college i know has gone on line. And yale has gone on line and i'm teaching on line now. The lecture component of the class has been replaced by on line lectures. It's egaletarian at the level that you see everybody's faces at once, exactly the same size. You're not sort of trapped by the structure of a seminar room or the distance of a lecture hall. I think there are some positive features of this. But having tasted this, i wonder whether it's going to change toway universe s work....
