The Origins of Human Linguistic Thinking
Humans have a disposition that if someone is using speech in our presence, especially someone older than us or in an authority position, we don't assume they're stupid. Why? Because we need a certain kind of social cohesion and conformity and cooperation to get bythat's pretty distinctive. Not entirely this thing was pretty distinctive in the animal kingdom. One of the reasons as far as we know, we run the planet, it's not just because we're innovative,. go on our own inventors, partly and maybe more so, it's because we actually are very, very, very good performers and the cooperators.
