The Importance of Clarity in Music
I think some bands like really don't like the being compared to like this sounds like this band or the other band. But just thinking about it right now, like among musicians, we all use those points of reference to locate what you're trying to do. I have the same problem with my own music sometimes, because it's forest for the trees. First time I listen to something, I'll just like make my notes immediately, precisely how I hear it and move to the next one. And I just leave it really quick, like that. Just one time through, I'm a quick study. I can get structures and things first time through.
