Women's History - My Grandmother's Divorce

The writer's grandmother was a published author. After she died, her trunk went to a member of the family. She said it was filled with rubbish papers and they were morteaton. There was nothing of value in there. And o i don't think she meant any harm, but it meant something to me. I've always felt that phantom side of my grandmother's personal writings disappearing. It touched on a deep, deep wound, which was the lack of women's histories. Often, when you look at collections of writers,. except up to the modern rd, in a way, it's changed a little bit. The archives usually kept men of letters, you know, their notes
