The Importance of Initial Setup
I'm not sure how much of that could have been solved by better initial setup. I wrote a memo recently thinking about why it is useful to spend more time than some people think is reasonable, writing out thoughts in long form before assigning engineering to it. If your decision is going to cascade into 25 weeks of end time, it's actually pretty consequential. And if you spending an extra five days thinking about it would have mitigated even one week ofend time, it would probably be worth it. Yeah. So this is stuff that PMs help with is they stand top of that kind of stuff and make sure the engineer takes the time to review all the stuff.
