The End of the Bards
The last native Prince of Wales was killed by Edward I in 1282. The princes had been the employers of the bards, and with that, they interestingly changed what it became a rather ritualistic and arcane mode of writing. A new form emerges called the Coweth, which is a simplified form of the older poetry. David Appwillim developed it to an extraordinary height of greatness - he's arguably the greatest poet ever produced.
