The truly low noise rails that I'm talking about would be 10 amps or below. So you're not going to throw an LDO. And so by spreading it across multiple switchers, now those switchers can handle higher current. They have more time to cool off. On average, they're receiving less current. It also sounds like once you get to those levels, there's a big efficiency issue just within the converter itself as well.
