Is Estrogen an Anti-Catabolic Steroid?
The testosterone is antagonistic and the receptor level of both estrogen and cortisol. There are multiple pathways through which estrogen actually inhibits the synthesis of muscle. A lot of bodybuilders disagree with that, but I have so far not seen a bodybuilder or even livestock industry that actually turns its animals into muscular, hulky freaks by administering only estrogen. It's always in combination with another, with an anabolic steroid.
