The model was very good at predicting the amount of every protein in the cell. But there was a ramification for that: It only worked if most of the genes weren't being expressed in each individual cell, like more than half. Most genes are being expressed like these, they are distributed between cells. So as an example, all of the antibiotic resistance genes fall in this category.
