The Dealers Demand Five % Commission on the Sale of Fuel
Dealer commissions have not been revised since 20 70, and are currently hovering at around two and a half rupees a liter on desel. Shell apparently has not cut fuel supplies through its retailers, though it is said to be retailing fuel at a premium of five to six rots depending on which market. The state oil companies have denied that they have cut fuel supplies.
