The Conservative Party's Worst Nightmare
It's a bizarre, bizarre place to be after we've come from somewhere where the Boris Johnson era to me was so marked by being be a big bombastic character. And that's just, it's imploded completely. The combination actually of Labor doing badly in Summerton and Frum while the Liberal Democrats trounced the Tories is the most worrying aspect of these by-elections for the Tories. I'm not the biggest Conservative Party expert or strategist in the world but I would say it's about the most obviously bad thing you can have happened to the Conservatives once the Lib Dems are doing well. It's almost impossible to fashion a message that will head both those challenges off. You
