The Tree Parallels Between Eden and Christianity
In John's gospel, he famously begins in the beginning just as Genesis began in the beginning. The fact that you eat the fruit is actually significant because it's how you commune with sin and in the case of Christianity with Christ. All that's to say, the Eden and Christian parallels are, this is not just an incidental one-off thing.
