The taxi industry is captured by these local cartels. And taxis are terrible, and Uber fixed a lot of that. A taxi driver used to be one of the most dangerous professions in the United States. Now with Uber, because there's surveillance on both sides, that they've made taxi driver much, much safer. So, right here, Uber is definitely hacking regulations. But whether it's good or bad in the end is not at all obvious.
