The Blind Spot of Dydian
I think despite some of these arguments here, Dydian does a lot for representing both gender and ethnicity in her work. But it just feels like fundamentally Dydian doesn't understand what life is like for people who have less means than herself. And I wonder if that's still the case for her now as it was in the 70s when she was writing these pieces or if she is more aware of that story.
