K m wyland looks at the two halves implicit in all of the majoral structural beats. The inciting event, the first plot point, the mid point, or second plot point and the third plot point are just a few examples. If these scenes fail to change or move the plot, then the entire story's structure weakly crumbles. This week we look at the insit ing event which can be seen as having both positive and negative values.
