Did Diana's Death Play a Part in the Referendum Campaign?

Diana's death is certainly something that some plied activists think played a part or thoug t's not quite clear what the precise psychological mechanisms through which this became a reason for some people to vote no are. Long standing division between english speaking areas and welsh speaking areas, which kind of broadly maps on to a kind of south and east versus north and west sort of divide. And i think there's this feeling in perhaps quite large parts of wales that devolution was a kind of step into the dark. So many of kings intrfewes comment on this feeling, that this lack of confidence was turned round by the practical experience of actually doing it with devolution.
