The Importance of Honoring Your Reality
I don't worry too much about an ideal creative life. I kind of knew that I was never going to be able to have some light filled studio in Brooklyn and sit my latte for hours dreaming about the work. For me, art was always in those spaces in which it happened. And so usually what I just recommend to people is like you just need to become a morning person or a night owl. You know, if you can get up early before the sun comes up and do the thing you really want to do, then the rest of the day is just kind of gravy until next morning.
