Introduction
To day was a pretty highly anticipated macro economic day with fed chairman jerome powell testifying to the joint economic committee. First time we've heard thoughts from him since the december fed meeting minutes were published and kind of spook the market at the beginning of last week. I don't know that there was a tun of really good news here, or positive news for the markets. But as for to day, powell's main thought seemed to be, inflation is running very far above target. The economy no longer needs or wants the very accommodative policies we have had in place.
