The color blue came from a precious stone called lapis lazily that you could only find in afghanistan. Yellow was incredibly expensive, it could only be got from india and the cows would only eat a diet of mangos. The blood used to paint someone's red tunic comes from cockneil insects which are also found in our food coloring.
