The Dwarves Are Coming From the North, Right?

Thorin and the dwarves in Bilbo use this time to build a wall. They know they can't fight against the whole army, but they think, ah, well, maybe we can keep them out for a while long enough until the dwarf army comes. So they start building a wall, all the dwarves with Bilbo helping, I guess. And so they immediately, they know that the elves right now, they're delayed because they're trying to help the men at the lake after their town was destroyed.
