The Value of Money Is Different Depending on Your Situation

I think a lot of it is also the stuff we talked about earlier where if you find out you make a lot less money than someone that you perceive as doing less than you, you're going to be mad. But I've actually heard one interesting argument in favor of keeping salaries private. The value of dollars of money to each individual is different depending on your circumstances. And so why would it be a universal measure? Why not say, well, everyone can negotiate that individually and come to a conclusion about what the money means to them for their needs? That's a really mature way to look at it.
