Is the Knowledge of Counterfactuals Critical for Understanding Artificial General Intelligence?
I could be persuaded to say that we don't know how aircraft crashing into the World Trade Centers also caused the collapse of a World Trade Center building that was not hit by an aircraft next door. I can imagine why heat, the foundations upon which those two buildings were constructed have now themselves been corrupted. If knowledge is useful information, information being stuff that could have been otherwise, then yeah, certainly this constructor theory, the science of cannekar, counterfactuals, very well might come to bear on artificial general intelligence.
