"I just didn't want to be like the way everybody else was, you know? And it was just, there was a cool factor to it because it was so uncool. Metal was the least cool thing you could have liked in 1982, 83 in that part of Brooklyn," he says. "And I had my little guido mustache, like, if there's something in the air or the water back then that everybody 11 and 12 had a mustache." He recalls his mother taking him to big rock concerts with AC, DC and Kiss when they would come through New York. "[My parents] were preoccupied with a lot of moving parts children," Mark adds.
