When Richard Oven Chultis was a child of about ten, he developed a terrible stomach problem and was bedridden for close to a year. His father Otto went to the East Boston Library just four blocks south of their house and checked out a book for him to listen to because his father would read to him at night. The two most important admixtures are either the shrub chakuna from the coffee family or the okoyahhe from the same family as Ayahuasca. By my count, over 100 different plants from 40 different plant families have been reported as additives to the brew.
