The Weather Underground was a new left adventurous terrorist organization in the late 90s. The group tried to get every media outlet to just stop reporting on bombings because they were doing like a bombing a week for like years. They folded not very long after and it kind of ties into this world of Like the first dot com boom. It's an interesting glimpse into the psychology of americans where it's just like i want to be hurt as much as possible, he says.
