Are NGOs Engaging in Compulsory Homosexuality?

In the book, Sasso describes NGOs in Ghana as being very constraining in their understandings of sexuality. She calls this "pretentious conformity," which she says is a desire to conform by pretending. The use of men who have sex with men within these organizations is a way to mask that they're actually engaging with homosexual men because homosexuality is illegal or is criminalized there.
