Can Psychopaths Have an Emotional Response?
Jordan Ben-Ghiat: Psychopaths may not feel emotions because they're so focused on a task that brings them benefit or reward. He says if you cure psychopaths to emotions, then they do feel it and can be better at recognizing emotion in other people than normal people. Ben-ghiat: There's two kinds of empathy here, Jordan; cold empathy is when you can cognitively and dispassionately gauge what another person is thinking. And hot empathy is the feeling of feeling what anotherperson is feeling.
