Isometrics did have a hay day of this is the new kit on the block and it's a thing that everyone should be doing probably about 10 years ago. That was based on evidence that was inappropriately used I guess you could say because we had evidence that it might help tendin pain in the short term, i.e. over half an hour not what we want which is helping people get over their tendin pain completely. There's no evidence that suggests that isometrics is better for either of those actually either short term or in the longer term basically loading regardless of how you do it probably is the way to go.
